Sheep If you are considering sheep, think very long and hard about it. If you intend to keep sheep for a large profit, then stop now as it is very difficult to make alot of money( unless you have enough land to keep 2000). Sheep are wonderful animals, sweet and each have a personality of there own. They can be left out for most of the year but should be viewed and inspected everyday. They need shearing once a year and there hooves cleaned (or clipped) regularily. Sheep are strange, in the way if they do not like there enviroment they can simply roll over and die. There are many pests and diseases to watchout for and some are not are not noticable to the untrained eyes. If you still choose to keep sheep, for breeding or meat production then do it because you love the animal not for money or self sufficiency (as i have yet to make a profit from my ewes and ive been keeping them 4 years) but i still couldnt get rid of them. sheep breeds Sheep housing Sheep ailments Lambing Lambing Equip |
